We believe that our world is a gift to us all and that we have the joy of looking after and celebrating the world around us. For us this involves actions that encourage a greener lifestyle. At Sherwood Methodist this includes solar panels, recycling points, using Fairtrade products, having bike locking facilities and the development and promotion of our Quiet Garden.

Our Quiet Garden is a small landscaped area, open for all to enjoy and suitable for wheelchair users. It is part of the contemplative Quiet Garden Movement.
The garden is wildlife friendly with natural and seasonal plantings, bat and swift boxes (set up in collaboration with WildNG) along with a paved labyrinth, mosaics and seating, which create a calm place in a busy setting. By the downstairs door you can find a mindfulness meditation to help with your reflections while in this quiet space. The Quiet Garden is accessed via our entrance on Mansfield Road. Anyone is welcome to visit and enjoy this space at any time. As with any Methodist premises, no alcohol is allowed in the garden. |
