Community Involvement
Our mission statement ‘Following Jesus, Serving the Community’ shows our commitment to Sherwood and the world in which we live. We look for ways to get to know our neighbours better and to serve the needs of the local area.
We are involved in activities in the local community including Nourish, Sharing Sherwood, Sherwood Art Week and run a monthly Messy Church. We also have a Knit and Natter group and at times we go on walks in the countryside together, for more detail on these please email us. |
Our Church Garden has a small landscaped area that is accessible to the public and suitable for wheelchair users.
It is designed to be wildlife friendly, has natural and seasonal plantings, a paved labyrinth, mosaics and seating. It is a calm place in a busy environment and is part of the Quiet Garden Movement. The garden is accessed via our entrance on Mansfield Road. |
GivingAs a church we donate regularly to a number of UK and overseas projects. Each year at our church council we elect a charity to support as a church for a year, these have included The Nottingham Winter Shelter and Maggie’s Centre.
