Children and Young People

Children and young people are an essential part of our church family. We value the fact that we are an ‘all age’ church.

​The church has a strict safeguarding policy to provide a safe environment for children and young people to be in, you can download this below.

Junior Church

Junior Church meets during the 10:30am service during term time (except 2nd Sunday of the month).
We have a 3-7 yrs and a 8-14 yrs group.

During this time we encourage discussion and activities to enable our young people to learn more about each other, explore the Bible and discover more about God in the world.

We have an All Age Worship service every couple of month. There is no Junior Church on these Sundays.

Messy Church

Messy Church takes place in the lower hall on the second Saturday of every month as a drop in between 10am and 12pm with plenty of cake, squash and hot drinks available.

Messy Church has at its heart messiness! Lots of crafts and activities – glueing, painting, baking, creating. Every session there are different activities to help explore a Bible story or theme.  
Messy Church is not just for children, it’s an opportunity for parents, carers or grandparents to come along with their children and enjoy each other’s company. Messy Church is run for the community, and attracts many families from Sherwood and Carrington.

​All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Scouts and Guides

We have a range of church linked uniformed organisations that meet each week in term time.

​Brownies: Mondays, 6-7.30pm, in the lower hall;
Guides: Mondays, 6.30-8.30pm, in the upper hall;
Scouts: Mondays, 7.30-9.00pm;
Beavers: Tuesdays, 6-7pm
